From Working outside Home to Working from Home

From the oldies perspective, working outside from home is privilege and working from home seems unnatural.

Beep, beep, beep, beep.... It's another day waking up to an alarm with the promise of a long commute, a stressful workload, and the joy of working with incompetent coworkers. This is how a majority of people begin their day.

In offices, you have to deal with bosses that hang over your head while you work. This kind of interference can be distracting and counter productive for those that do not like feeling smothered or harassed. Then there is the issue of having to deal with coworkers, this can also promote stress. Coworkers can be untrained, inefficient, or unknowledgeable which would likely leave unfinished work that could end up falling to you.

Waking up early and going home late, no more time for kids, stress and all. And even if already at home, somebody will still call you...

These are my daily routine for more than 10 years...

A long and serious self talk and heart to heart discussion with hubby make everything fall into places that working at home is really a great option to start.

Along with my self confidence and desire to change my life, I inform my Manager, I will quit!

The rest as they say is history...

Now, since working from home is very new to me. I enrolled myself in a good Freelancing Course provider which is the Filipino Virtual Assistance or FVA that will equip me with skills and knowledge that are far away from what I was used to know.

Here on the Academy, I get to know my niches from my previous experience which I can use in working from home. I also learned new stuffs such as improvising your resume using Canva, The sites where you should create an account like Upwork and Onlinejobs.ph and apply.

I can now optimize my social media pages. I also learned the basics of Social Media Management and Marketing. Making simple website and blogging which I make this blog of mine in here Wix.

Today, I am ready to join the bandwagon of people working from home and eventually get experience to also upgrade by skills and offer client with more of me.

Did I get what I want?

Precisely! I am 24/7 close to my daughters and can see their milestones and earn at the same time.
