Are you a Newbie like me?
As you are reading this blog of mine, I am also a newbie when I write this article.
When I join this world of freelancing, never did I imagine that this is a very broad world which makes me think of my decision to resign if it's really worth it.

Below are the things that are pulling me down.
1. Doubts
You know, I know my niches but I applied and applied but no one considered my proposals.
I was beginning to think...
What is wrong with me?
I'm not used to this rejections as I was on a higher hierarchy when I decided to resign.
I'm used to being the leader, the boss, the one in charge...
2. Fear
I am afraid that my savings will be gone in no time because it's been a month that I have been applying and it seems no one is interested in someone who is a newbie.
What am I going to do now?
Should I be going back to the industry that I am already used to?
I think I should try to apply since I still have an advantage in that world...
3. Self-pity
It seems like I have reached this age but I still don't have any achievements!
Am I really capable of doing this kind of job?
Am I really that worthless since I am still starting in this field?
I think I cannot do it anymore...
4. Withdrawn
My family and relatives are always asking how is it to be a freelancer? If did I got a client already? If I am earning big now?
This kind of anticipation from them that I'm also doing great like my previous job makes me embarrassed and withdrawn from them.
I don't want them to know the real status of me not getting any clients yet. That when I applied, they are looking for someone with experience already. I just told them that I am still training and this got no salary yet and changes the topic immediately.
How did I cope up?
1. Pray
Yes. Prayers are still the best coping mechanism for me.
I talked to Him to please find me a good client that will accept me even I'm still new to this industry and teach me all the stuff I need to learn for me to be knowledgeable.
2. Join Freelancing Groups
With these groups, you will learn something from the materials provided by the page's admins and members who are generous enough to help new members learn new information.
You can also ask them on your concerns and if you are lucky, you might find some job openings for newbies. Just be resourceful enough to check them on the major social media sites such as Facebook, Instagram , Twitter and LinkIn.
3. Learn! Learn! Learn
Of course, we need to have skills to be competitive in this industry. As for me, I have enrolled myself in a Freelancing Course in FVA or me to get knowledge for a General Virtual Assistance role and eventually study on your chosen niche since there are many videos and materials that you can find on YouTube or even to the Freelancing groups that you have joined in. Just have the courage and will to do since it will be for your own benefit. Stop binge-watching or waste time looking into other people's day-to-day lives as you have been used to do before.
4. Apply! Apply! Apply!
Don't lose hope from your applications that are not replying to you.
If it's not meant to be for you then it will really not land in your palm as they say...
I have already applied for than a hundred time already but I am not yet tired to apply just to get me my dream job. Know all online job sites and register and put all your portfolios and your best smile profile photo. We never know when will the universe give its favor to you. Don't lose faith in yourself be optimistic always!

As of now, I am proud to make my own website to be shared with my future clients for them to know me better. I name it Arete Freelancing Services. Arete is from the Hebrew word " Excellence of any kind". In this case, I give excellence to my services with my tagline "Ensuring Satisfaction to every Transaction".
I'm Looking forward to founding a client that will consider us even if we are still a newbie!
